Howard L Stephens was my Grandfather, an avid Fly fisherman and Musician. He played the drums every year in the parade at Eldon Mo and other venues. He was well known in the community and before he was Postmaster he was a Dispatcher at the Rock Island Depot in Eldon which at the time had a bustling rail service. He and his wife Esther had two infant children that died and then 3 daughters two of which are living in advanced age as of 12/05/14.
