James Stevens, child of Thomas Stevens and Ann Stevens, was baptised at Onibury, Shropshire, England, United Kingdom on the 18th of May, 1823.[1] Without access to the original record it is difficult to understand how this has changed from Orcop, Herefordshire, England, United Kingdom and from the original index of Old Radnor, Radnorshire, Wales, United Kingdom. None of these tie in to his stated place of birth of Eastnor, Herefordshire, England

Census Note
In the 1861 census James was born abt 1830 and born in Eastnor, Herefordshire. In the 1871 census he has gained a few years and is born in 1824 in Evesham, Worcestershire. Haven't resolved this one yet but it is definitely the same person as the children are the same and the wife Elizabeth is the same. In the 1881 census he has gone back to being born in Eastnor, Herefordshire, but his year of birth has remained as 1823/4.
