As listed in the Find A Grave Index,[1] John Monroe Stephenson is buried at Bowdon First United Methodist Cemetery in Bowdon, Carroll County, Georgia.[2]
Note - The actual tombstone only shows J M Stephenson. It has been transcribed by the findagrave memorial manager as "John Monroe Stephenson." However, his probate records[3][4] and the death certificate for Eli Stephenson, lists his name as James Stephenson.[5] Additionally, the 1850 US census lists the name as Jas M Stevenson.[6] Currently no source has been located for the middle name of "Monroe". - Stevenson-9307 13:43, 3 January 2023 (UTC)
