Biography

John Stephenson was enumerated at Post Office Bowdon, Bowdon District, Carroll County, Georgia for the August 2, United States Census, 1860. He was noted as born 1841 in Georgia and farm was listed as his occupation as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are female Elvira Stephenson, female Nancy Stephenson, male William Stephenson, female Ann Stephenson, female Elizabeth Stephenson, male Eli Stephenson, female Emeline Stephenson and male James Stephenson.[1]

John M. Stephens wed Misouri C. Nail November 26, 1871 in Carroll County, Georgia.[2]

Pvt. John N. Stephenson is buried at Bowdon First United Methodist Cemetery in Bowdon, Carroll County, Georgia.[3]
