Biography

Samuel Stephenson was enumerated as son of the head of household in Diamonds, Stone Mountain, DeKalb County, Georgia for the June 19, United States Census, 1900. He was noted as at school, born October 1886 in Georgia and single. Also included in the household are head Benjamin Stephenson, wife Nannie Stephenson, son Frank Stephenson, daughter Nora Stephenson and son Benjamin Stephenson as seen in an image of the original census.[1]

Sam F Stephenson was enumerated as head of the household at Rock Chapel Road, Diamond, DeKalb County, Georgia for the April 22, United States Census, 1910. He was noted as born 1887 in Georgia and had been married two years. He was a farmer on a general farm and a renter as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Leona Stephenson and son Hiram J Stephenson.[2]

Sam Stephenson was enumerated as head of the household at Pleasant Hill Road, Diamond, DeKalb County, Georgia for the January 13, United States Census, 1920. He was noted as born 1887 in Georgia and married. He was an owner and a farmer on a general farm as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Levona Stephenson, son Hiram Stephenson, daughter Mildred Stephenson and daughter Ruth Stephenson.[3]

Sam Fae Stephenson was enumerated as head of the household at High Town Trail, Rockbridge, Gwinnett County, Georgia for the April 2, United States Census, 1930. He was noted as born 1888 in Georgia and married. He was first married at the age of twenty-one. He was an owner and a farmer on a farm as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Leona O Stephenson, son Hiram J Stephenson, daughter Mildred Stephenson, daughter Ruth L Stephenson, son Fred T Stephenson, daughter Darris F Stephenson and daughter Lurline L Stephenson.[4]

On April 1, 1935, Sam T Stephenson lived at Road 581, Militia District 571, Gwinnett County, Georgia.[5]

He was noted as born 1887 in Georgia and married. He owned a home worth $8000. He was shown to be a farmer as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife O Leona Stephenson, daughter Dorris Stephenson, daughter Lillian L Stephenson, daughter Hettie R Stephenson and laborer Marshall Wilson.[5]

As listed in the Find A Grave Index,[6] Samuel Thomas "Sam" Stephenson is buried at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Conyers, Rockdale County, Georgia.[7]
