Biography

Reuben Stephenson (son of James Stephenson and Mary Colley) was born about 1794 in Kentucky and died in 1849 at Mt Pleasant, Texas. He married (1) Sarah “Sally” Mann on Nov 15, 1814 in Campbell Co, Kentucky, daughter of Benjamin Mann and Mildred Timberlake. She died on May 4, 1830 and he married (2) Belinda “Anna” Callahan on October 6, 1830 in Kentucky. He lived in Campbell and Boone Counties, Kentucky before moving to Texas in 1847. He was buried on the back of his farm several miles west of Mt. Pleasant, Texas.
