Eunice Stetson, daughter of Robert Stetson and Honour (Tucker) Stetson, was born in Scituate, Plymouth Colony on April 23, 1650 [1] or April 28, 1650.[2] She was baptized May 19, 1650.[3]
Marriage and Children
Eunice married TImothy Rogers of Marshfield.[1][4][5] In his 1702 will, Cornet Robert Stetson mentions his daughter, Eunice Rogers, then living.[5][4] Eunice and TImothy were probably married about 1669.[6][1] Their date of marriage was probably estimated based on the 1670 date of baptism of their first born known child. They were probably married in either Scituate or Marshfield. They settled at Marshfield.[1]
Timothy and Eunice had the following children. Based on Timothy's residency in Marshfield from 1664 until his death, they were probably all born in Marshfield, although the baptisms of some were recorded in the Scituate records. The children are set forth below, based on probable birth order based on birth/baptismal dates (to the extent known) and order in which mentioned in Timothy's will.
Samuel, bpt. September 15,[4] September 18,[7][4] or October 2, 1670,[1] m. December 3, 1697 Jael Huet,[8] d. 1747[1]
Timothy. b. in 1690, according to age on gravestone,[4][1] m. February 9, 1719/20 Lydia Hatch,[14] d. December 10, 1763[14]
Death
Eunice died sometime after September 4, 1702, when she was mentioned as a living person in the will of her father,[4] but before March 24, 1724/5, when she was not mentioned in the will of her husband Timothy.[4]
