Biography

Royal Stetson was born 11 July 1786 in Randolph, Norfolk, Massachusetts, and died in 1863 at age 77. ^[1][2]

Royal Stetson was first married to Lydia Holbrook. They registered their intentions on 18 June 1808 in Randolph (Norfolk County), Massachusetts.^[3][4][5] - Three Children Recorded.

Lydia Stetson died on 19 July 1820. ^[6]

Royal Stetson married his second wife, Cynthia Wentworth of Canton, after registering intentions at Randolph on 5 March 1825. ^[3][5] 3 Additional Children recorded.

Children

Royal Stetson's children were born at Randolph, but their births are not recorded there. Sprague identified six children, listed below.^[3]

2. Ellis Stetson, 1829 (GS) Insane, living in 1899, died + 1902, GS Canton Cem.
3. Seth Stetson, 1831, m. Lucia Fish. Settled in Stoughton.
