William Stetson, son of Amos Stetson (born 1741) and his second wife Lydia, was born 23 April 1781 and baptized 29 April 1781 at the North Parish of Braintree, Massachusetts. [1]
He married Sarah or Sally Stetson "of Weymouth," daughter of Rufus and Comfort Paine (Thayer) Stetson. They entered their marriage intentions on Aug. 16, 1801 at Quincy, Massachusetts.[1][2]
William died Oct. 9, 1848 in his 68th year and is buried in GS Hancock Cemetery in Quincy.[1]

Fanny, Apr. 4, 1803, m. Jan. 13, 1820 at Quincy, Zenas Whiting.
Sally, (d. aged 2) "a child of William" died Sep. 19, 1805 a. 17mo.
Lydia, Mar. 18, 1805, m. Jan. 20, 1825 at Quincy, Ansel Snell of No. Bridgewater.
William, (d. aged 2) "a child of William" died Aug. 11, 1810 a. 18mo.
Burrell W., Mar. 1, 1812, m. int. Mar. 10, 1850 at Randolph, Almira E. Woodbury. She was born in VT. about 1812. Resided in Quincy. He was a boot maker in 1850.
