He married Hannah White at Randolph on 1 December 1803. [2][3][4] The couple had entered their intentions of marriage at Abington, Massachusetts, on 23 October 1803. The record of intentions identifies Hannah as "of Randolph"; the wording implies that Jeremiah was residing at Abington at the time.[5][6]
Jeremiah and Hannah removed to Weymouth not long after their marriage (in 1804). [4] All ten of their children were born at Weymouth:[7]
Mary Stetson, born 6 October 1804; died 18 October 1804
Emeline Stetson, (or Eveline [4]) born 25 November 1805 [8] identified as Eveline or Evelina by Sprague and Stetson.[7][4]
Henry Martin Martyn Stetson, born 18 December 1825;[8]; m. (1) Eliza J. Martin, 27 Nov 1856 at Smithfield, Rhode Island [10]; m.(2) Sawbretto Fuller [11]; died 16 June 1875, Attleboro, Massachusetts, no children.[4]
Hannah Stetson dies in December 1853 at Weymouth [12]
In 1855, the Massachusetts state census recorded Jeremiah Stetson, age 78, living in Boston as a solo householder. He was a shoemaker by occupation.[13]

Erroneous Children
Some online genealogies or other "sources" give Jeremiah and Hannah two additional children, twins named David and Eliza supposedly born on 19 December 1824. This is an error, apparently due to misinterpretation of records of the [delayed] baptisms (not births) on that date of eight children of Jeremiah Stetson (mother not named). The children baptized in Weymouth that day were identified (in alphabetical order) as Anson, Brainerd, David, Eliza, Hiram, Harriet Newell, Julia Ann, and Lucinda.[8] Six of these names correspond to the names of recorded births of children of Jeremiah and Hannah, but two recorded children who were then living (Emeline/Eveline and Louisa) are not on the baptism list and two names on the baptism list (David and Eliza) do not clearly correspond to recorded births. "Eliza" is likely to be the same child as Louisa, and "David" may have been entered due to confusion about whether the baptized child was named David or Brainerd. Emeline/Eveline had married the previous year, which explains her absence from the delayed baptism of her siblings.
