He died intestate on 12 Apr 1713 [4] and is buried in the Second Parish cemetery.
Probate
On 20 April 1713, his widow Susanna was granted the letter of administration for his estate.[5]
His moveable inventory was taken on 5 May 1713. His widow Susannah made oath to the inventory.[6]
On 14 September 1713, his widow Susanna was appointed guardian of her daughter Susanna who was under 14 years of age.[7]
On 23 March 1715/16, the settlement of his account shows that his daughter had died and the charges for her care and her funeral are listed.[8]
On 23 March 1715/16, his real estate was appraised.[9]
In 1717, with the sale of his land and debts paid, his estate settlement went to his widow (who married John Holmes on 25 November 1714) his deceased daughter, Susanna's half-brother, Josiah Holmes born on 23 October 1715.[10]
