A. Elizabeth, his wife was the daughter of Benjamin and Mary (Gray) Cooke. Some sources spell her maiden name Cook. She was a descendant of Edward Gray, who was brought over in the Mayflower, at the age of seventeen, by Governor Winslow, his guardian. Edward Gray married the daughter of John Winslow, brother of the Governor, and became a rich merchant. [5]
