Biography

William was born Aug 18, 1820 in Deep River, CT to Appleton Stevens and Harriet Thompson.<1> The 9th of 13 children.<1> was a lumber merchant.<1> William married Jane Clark aug 8, 1844.<1,4> The 1870 census shows William age 48, living with his wife Jane C age 44, their son William age 13, and daughter Jennie age 7.<2> William died Oct. 16, 1887.<1,3>
