Biography

• Guillaume (Willem, William) Provost, born in 1545. Guillaume (Willem, William) Provoost was a merchant residing in the business quarter of Antwerp, Flanders, Belgium. He married first Maria Karremans in June 1536 in the Sint Walburgis Kerk (St. Walburgis' Church), Antwerp, Flanders, Belgium and second Maeijken Stevens. In her husband's will, she is named as Marie Stevens Pietersdr., implying that her father was probably Steven Pieters.
