Thankful was a daughter of Henry Stevens, Junior. She was baptized in the North Society of the First Congregational Church of Stonington, Connecticut, on July 11, 1725. [1]
Thankful Stevens was married to James Partridge on 24 December 1744, probably at North Stonington, Connecticut. The marriage is recorded in the town records of Lebanon, Connecticut, where the couple are described as "James [Partridge], late of Dixborough, now of Lebanon, [and] Thankfull Steavens, of Stonington." The Partridge Genealogy locates the marriage in North Stonington.[2][3]
Births of seven children were recorded in Lebanon, Connecticut, between 1746 and 1759.[2] An eighth child, daughter Zerviah, is named in the will of James Partridge. She is apparently the youngest child, who may have been born in Canaan, Connecticut, after the family removed there.
James Partridge died, and on 13 October 1773 widow Thankful Partridge married Zebulon Stevens in the East Canaan Congregational Church, Canaan, Connecticut.[4]
Thankful died in Canaan, Connecticut, on 28 February 1812, recorded as "Wife of Mr. Zebulon Stevens."[5]
