HOMER STEVENS
Homer B. Stevens, 75, of Route 4, died Wednesday at his residence.
The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Brand-Parker Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery in Jasper County.
Mr. Stevens had lived in the Laurel area for the past 20 years moving from Forrest County. He had retired as a self-employed carpenter and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his widow, Mamie Stevens, of Route 4; one son, Howard Ray Stevens of Hattiesburg; two daughters, Ann Burt of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Ethel Mae Moore of Hattiesburg; two brothers, Albert Stevens of Columbus and W.C. Stevens of Saudi Arabia; three sisters, Mary Barlow of Jackson, Myrtis Collins of Petal and Christine Bayes of Laurel; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today at 4 p.m. at Brand-Parker Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements. [14]
