Biography

Samuel Stevens died young.

Samuel was a son of Joseph Stevens and Prudence Rice, born September 1711 in Sudbury, Massachusetts.[1][2]

On August 14, 1723, after family devotions and breakfast Joseph Sr. and his four sons, Samuel, Joseph, Phineas, and Isaac went to meeting and was ambushed by five hostile Indians. While the older Joseph escaped in the bushes his two sons Joseph and Samuel were killed and scalped. Killed by Gray Lock with a party of four Indians

He is buried in Old Burial Ground, Rutland, Worcester County, Massachusetts
