From the Evening Bulletin 6 Mar 1901: The Bulletin Tuesday had a brief notice of the death of Mr. Harrison Stevens, Sunday, March 3rd, at his home near Moransburg, coupled with a notice of the serious illness of his brother, Mr. William Stevens. The latter died early this morning. These venerable citizens of the county who had spent many years of their long life together were not long separated in death. The former was eighty-eight years and six months old, while the latter had reached the age of eighty-two years and six months. The latter is survived by one son, Thomas, at whose home the funeral will take place to-morrow morning at 11 o'clock. Burial in the Charleston Bottom cemetery. Mr. Harrison Stevens was among the many gold seekers who went to California in '49. He was never married.[2]
