Note NI108Worked for H.C. Cragg Mfgr. Compnay (machine/metal shop) in DC. 1939 - worked in office of warehouse for Jones and Laughlin Steel Co. in Detroit. About 1943, worked for US Steel's sales office (National Tube Division) in Detroit. Then was with Steel Sales Corp. Office and Warehouse Manager for Carpenter Steel Co., Detroit in 1946. Returned to DC in Fall of 1960 to work for old frined Elmer Klavens in remodeling business - turning large apartments into smaller ones to accommodate influx of people to DC. In 1963, worked for District of Columbia Dept of Sanitary Engineering as a Wage & Hour Investigator to be sure that contractors paid proper wages on sewer and water main construction projects. Transferred after 6 or 7 years to Personnel Dept of then called Dept of Environmental Services. Retired May 1981 after 18 years, Civil Grade 12, Acting Chief of the Employee Relations Branch.
Honored by Earlham College in 1994 - inducted into Althletic Hall ofFame for being part of 1932-1933 Men's Basketball Team for its undefeated season, 15-0.
