Benjamin was the son of Joseph & Deborah (Stevens) Stevens
He married as her first husband Comfort Kelsey, daughter of John & Mary (Buck) Kelsey, on 20 Oct 1740 at Farmington, Hartford, CT - their children were Tamesia, Achsah, Lemuel, Roswell, Levi, Sarah, Perudah & Phebe
After his death Comfort married Daniel Hart on 21 May 1761
