Biography

William was the son of Charles E. and Caroline Stevens. His Death Notice says he was husband of Maggie S.E. Stevens of Highgate Street, Auburn. He was buried at Rookwood (Zone D - Section 14 - Grave 832).

William Henry Hereford Stevens was born on board ship (The Hereford) 1883 on the way to Australia. Born the third child of Charles Stevens and Caroline Diddams. Charles was a police officer in Birmingham England. William's siblings were Charles Jnr and Edith. There is a diary written by a young married woman on board the ship mentioning the birth of William. He has a marine birth certificate indicating the Longitude and Latitude on the certificate.
