Joseph Sampson Stevenson was born on September 1, 1868 in Stover, Morgan County, Missouri, United States, son of James Cross Stevenson (1835–1905) and Harriet Murphy (1836–1878).[1]
In 1870, Joseph was living in Haugh Creek, Morgan, Missouri. [1]
In 1880, Joseph was living in Lindsey, Benton, Missouri. [2]
