Biography
James was born about 1854. He was the son of Robert Stevenson and Elizabeth Stevenson.
In 1861 James was living in Blairingone Village, Fossoway, Perthshire with his father and brother.[1]
In 1871 James was living at 33 Stonecraigs Row, Cambusnethan with his parents and siblings. He looked after Pit ponies. [2]
In 1881 James lived at 56 Brown Street, Cambusnethan with his parents and siblings. He was an Iron Works labourer. [3]
