Agnes was born about 1824 or 1825 to John Stevenson and Agnes Ewing.
On the 15th October 1848 Agnes married Malcolm McNeil[1] in Stirling, Scotland.
Proclamations Days 2[2] October 15 Malcomb McNeil carpenter and Agnes Stevenson (daughter of Jno Stevenson Manufacturer) both of this parish
During 1871[3] the widowed Agnes and her two sons Norman and John are living at 5 Roxburgh Terrace, Edinburgh. Both Norman and John are working as Shopmen and Agnes is shown as “formerly Ladies Nurse”.
When Agnes passed away the informant signed as M.C.K. McKenzie of 9 Lower Craigs, Stirling[4] and he stated he was Agnes’ Uncle-in-Law.
