Biography

Agnes was born about 1824 or 1825 to John Stevenson and Agnes Ewing.

On the 15th October 1848 Agnes married Malcolm McNeil^[1] in Stirling, Scotland.

During 1871^[3] the widowed Agnes and her two sons Norman and John are living at 5 Roxburgh Terrace, Edinburgh. Both Norman and John are working as Shopmen and Agnes is shown as “formerly Ladies Nurse”.

When Agnes passed away the informant signed as M.C.K. McKenzie of 9 Lower Craigs, Stirling^[4] and he stated he was Agnes’ Uncle-in-Law.
