It has not been possible to track down for certain birth location. His date of birth is on the 1939 register. A James LG Stewart was born in Middlesbrough in 1989 but he died aged 13 and his mother was Beatrice. There is a James Stuart registered in the March quarter of 1898 in Middlesbrough, mother's maiden name Kenney. [1]
In 1901 a 3 year old James was living in Middlesbrough with parents John and Sarah. They were both born in Glasgow. John was a Foundry labourer and all their 5 children had been born in Middlesbrough. [2]
