Biography
Emily Stewart, born 25 Jun 1825, was the sixth child of Mary (Hewitt) Stewart (1790-1870) & George Palmer Stewart (1786-1851).
The location of her birth is uncertain; whereas her birth family did reside in North Stonington, Connecticut, they had relocated to New York State at one point, then moved back to Connecticut (see the biography of her father, George Palmer Stewart).
Emily Stewart married twice:
- 1) Luther Yerrington
- 2) John I. Plummer
