Isaac Stewart was born about 1852 in Prince Edward Island. He was a highly-respected farmer in Murray Harbour South, PEI. Isaac died on May 19, 1936 in Montague, PEI. From his obituary:
His obituary lists his surviving children: Mr. Thomas Stewart, Providence, R.I.; Mr. John Stewart, Murray Harbour South; Mr. George Stewart, Murray Harbour South; Mrs. Elliot Roberts, Oxford, N.S.; Mrs. Preston Prowse, Montague; and Mrs. F. C. Bennett, Murray River. Another son, Isaac Stewart of Murray River died about 1934 and a daughter, Mrs. James MacNeill of Beaver Point died about 1932.
He also had four brothers: John William Stewart and Robert Stewart, both of Los Angeles, California and George Stewart and Abraham Stewart, both of whom were drowned when quite young. He had four sisters: Mrs. William Roberts, Newport, R.I.; Mrs. Snow, Boston; Miss Nancy Stewart, Boston, Miss Flora Stewart, Murray Harbour South. The only known surviving member of the family is Mrs. William Roberts.
