DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:
I have done a ton of research on this line, and believe a lot of the information posted in this profile is incorrect. I am not sure where the 'Jaural' is coming from, as there is no documented evidence of this middle name. Additionally, Mary Bowman is the mother of an entirely different line. I also think the birth date is incorrect, as there is no concrete evidence linking this John Stewart to the 1734 Prince George parish entry that derives this date.

One interesting thing to note, I believe this John Stewart may have been a part of the Phoenix privateering venture led by Carter Braxton. I hope this profile gets corrected. Thanks!
Thanks for the heads up about this profile and it’s information. When I get the time I’ll start trying to fix it currently I have some personal issues going on in my life.
Stewart-12808 and Stewart-5864 appear to represent the same person because: they share the exact same vital statistics, the same parents and the same spouse, Ann Nancy Haw.
Stewart-13389 and Stewart-5864 appear to represent the same person because: Same spouse, birth and death dates, as well as family relations and Last Will and Testament.
It still is possible these are two different John Jaural Stewarts that were likely first cousins, in this scenario. The same spouse could be a mistake or confusion between the two closely related lines of Stewart.
Just wanted to put that out there. I do believe these are referencing the same ancestor given the birth and death dates as well as spouse. The difference in parents is concerning but if there were two John Jaural Stewarts that were first cousins, a profile can always be recreated later. 👍
You have forwarded the merge of this John with Stewart-11354 but I'm seeing some discrepancies yet unanswered. For one, there is no mention of a son Joseph Stewart in the Last Will & Testament included in this Bio. Another is the very different places and dates of death. And finally, this Bio mentions the Mother's name as Mary Penn but the person attached as his mother is Mary Bowman. Can we do a little clarifying with Sources before we assume these 2 to be one and the same? Once a merge is done it is nearly impossible to go back if further research proves them to have been 2 different people, and John Stewart is such a common name...
John Stewart (Stewart-13389) and John Stewart (Stewart-11354) have been marked as Unmerged Matches.
Mother has already been merged as exact matches were clear duplicates.
Father's set to merge but some minor discrepancies to be resolved.
But these 2 John's seem to be completely different people. It appears maybe one should be split off from the merged parents? Or should the Fathers be separated and one son go with each? Do we need a G2G discussion on this?
Stewart-13388 and Stewart-25757 appear to represent the same person because: He also had married Martha Greer who was the mother to my ancestor Jeremiah C Stewart.

Stewart-16535 and Stewart-13389 appear to represent the same person because: same details except in Stewart-16535 there is a much earlier approx. death date

John Jaural Stewart (1734-1784)
Both profiles are using the same sources, birth and death dates as well as same spouse.
John and I share the same yDNA, according to family research.
