Hey James,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards .

If you need to describe an event, heirloom or a location relevant to your research, try Free Space Profiles .

If you run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving these unfortunate situations.

A project of note is the Global Family Reunion check it out at Global Family Reunion.

Questions? Ask via my profile page. Mags

Hi James,

Thanks for volunteering to help grow our one world tree.

Please drop into our friendly Genealogist to Genealogist (G2G) forum to introduce yourself to other WikiTreers - you can access the G2G by selecting G2G Profile from your My WikiTree menu at the top right of most pages.

WikiTree can be a bit overwhelming at first, so don't hesitate to post your questions in the G2G.

Collaboration might help bust through your dead ends. WikiTree has one profile for each person, so the further back you go in your ancestry, the more likely cousins will find you and help out. ANY Wiki Genealogist can edit "Open" profiles (over 200 years old). Discussions tagged brickwall

Good luck with connecting your leaves and branches to our tree.

I just joined this site today. I have done some research on my dad's family and run up against dead ends. I know much more about my dad's mom and my mom's family. My dad's family grew up in rural Florida panhandle in late 1800s / early 1900s. (He was born in 1918 in Pensacola.). I'll gladly share what I know but it won't be much! Ken

I see you have uploaded your DNA for comparison. Did you know we have a project for DNA where a lot of great new things are happening? If you are interested and would like to check it out, go to the FIND link top right of your profile page, select PROJECTS from the drop down box, and then select the link for the DNA project. It has information listed that might be of interest to you, and feel free to contact any of the members if you would like additional details.
