Arthur Stewart, Duke of Albany was born in April 1541 at Falkland Palace, Fife, Scotland. He was the son of James V Stewart, King of Scotland and Marie de Lorraine. He died in April 1541 aged 8 days after his baptism. He was buried at Holyrood Abbey, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.

He was styled as Duke of Albany in April 1541. On his death, his title became extinct, if indeed it ever existed.
