Fannie Jean Stewart Newman, age 82, of Louisville, Kentucky, and formerly of Bull Creek in Knox County, died Saturday, December 20, 2014 at her home. She was a daughter of the late Robert and Nancy Mills Stewart, born to them on March 4, 1932 at Bull Creek in Knox County. Fannie Mae was a Housewife and Homemaker, and was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.

On May 6, 1950, she united in marriage to Anthony L. Newman, Sr., and to this union three sons and three daughters were born. On December 16, 1997, her husband of over 47 years: Anthony L. Newman, Sr. preceded her in death; she was also preceded in death by her parents: Robert and Nancy Mills Stewart.

Mrs. Newman is survived by her loving family: Her six children: William Michael Newman, Bobby Ray Newman, Anthony L. Newman, Jr., Brenda Sue McCallum and husband, Al, Nancy Darlene Rigdon and husband, Randy, and Jacquelene Lee Spradlin and husband, David. Her 13 grandchildren: Tabatha Brooke Newman, Justin Michael Langdon Newman, Andrew Scott Spradlin, Brenda Jean Spradlin, Douglas Anthony Spradlin, Jessica Marie Rigdon, Randall James Rigdon, Jr., Bobbie Joe Cahill, Michael Anthony Mudd, Pamela Michelle Newman, Thomas Wayne Newman, Robert Anthony Newman and Elizabeth Nicole Newman. Her 30 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral Services for Fannie Jean Stewart Newman will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 22, 2014 in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brian Miracle officiating. Burial will follow in the Newman Cemetery at Noahville Hollow. Those serving as Pallbearers will be: Michael Mudd, Jr., Al McCallum, Robert A. Newman, Anthony A. Newman, Sr., Douglas Spradlin, and Michael Newman.

The family of Fannie Jean Stewart Newman will receive friends at the Hopper Funeral Home after 10:00 A.M. on Monday, and until the funeral hour.
