Biography

Robert was born in the Cowpasture on the land of his father's adjoining the land of his grandfather's. He married 1) Mary, widow of Robert Armstrong, on 24 Apr 1792 ^[1]. It is believed he and his wife traveled to Tennessee and that Mary died there. On 16 Jan 1798, back in Bath County, he married Catherine Aleshire.^[2]
