Biography

Research Notes

Searching Scotlands People, https://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/ there is a marriage with Sarah McGregor, or at least Banns were callled at Callendar on 22 March 1787 with Alexander Stewart of Callendar, and Sarah McGregor of Salt Market, Glasgow.

There is another mention of this couple on 25 March 1787 at Glasgow and this seems to be when they were actually married. Alexander is described as Alex. Stewart, Farmer in Callendar Parish.

However I've been unable to find any children of this couple nor any marriage with Margaret Atheyn.

The fact that he is a farmer, may help find other sources of information but at the moment apart from the marriage to Sarah McGregor, nothing else about this profile can be confirmed.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Alexander by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Alexander:

Thanks Richard for removing the parents from this profile, I've restored part of the research notes I added as they are still valid to any further research into this profile.
