Biography

He enlisted July 21, 1862 as a private in Co I, Alabama 1st Cavalry Regiment. Mustered out on Oct. 22, 1862 in Nashville, TN. At the time he enlisted he lived in Huntsville, Alabama. This record states that he did not survive the war. Do they muster out soldiers after they die?
