Biography

John Stewart is a member of Clan Stewart of Appin.

John Stewart was born about 1736 in Ardshiel, Argyle. Scotland. He was the 2nd son son of Charles Stewart and Isabel Haldane to be called John, his brother & namesake being born and died in 1733.

He succeeded his brother Alexander in Command of the "Duke of Albany" East indiamen.
