Sir Dugald Leslie Lorn Stewart (16th of Appin) was born on 10 September 1921. He was the son of Allan Winslow Stewart (15th of Appin) and Marjorie Ballance.
In 1953 he became the 16th Chief of Clan Stewart of Appin.
He died in 1984.
Education
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England. He completed his education at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.
Career
He was 3rd Secretary of the British Embassy in 1945 at Belgrade, Serbia.
He held the office of Ambassador to Yugoslavia between 1971 and 1977.
He was invested as a Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1969. He was invested as a Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.).
Marriage
He was married on 31 July 1947 in Belgrade, Serbia.
