Andrew was the youngest son of Walter Stewart and Isabel Graham, born sometime after 1325 (based on his elder brother's birth in 1324).[1] From 1400-1413 the Chamberlain of Scotland paid an annuity to Sir Andrew Stewart, Knight, who was also frequently designated in the account books as "of Raliston."[1] On several occasions he was additionally described as "brother of Sir John Stewart of Ralstoun."[1] The last payment made to Sir Andrew Stewart was from the customs account of Dundee, dated June 1413, when he was said to be deceased.[1]
