Biography
Thomas was born abt 1730 in Balquhidder, Perthshire, , Scotland. He married Margrate Stewart abt 1754 in Cheraws dist, South Carolina, USA. He was the son of Dougald Stewart of Balquhidder, Scotland. In 1750 he inherited 640 Acres in Cumberland co., N.C. Dugald Stewart. Margrate and Thomas had one daughter, Elizabeth Stewart, born Cape Fear, North Carolina. Elizabeth Stewart ever married but left in her will slaves to her nieces, Eliza Ann & Janet Caraway, daughters of James Caraway, son of Margrate Stewart. Thomas passed away abt 1763 in Bladen, North Carolina, USA.[1]
