Biography

Isaac Stewart was a Latter Day Saint pioneer.

Isaac Mitten Stewart was born 23 February 1816, Chesterfield, Burlington, New Jersey to parents Beakley Stewart and Alice (Hopkins) Stewart. [1] He was born into a Quaker family, the Steward family progenitor, Joseph, arriving in Pennsylvania in 1682. His LNAB (last name at birth) appears to have 'migrated' in the records from Steward to Stewart.

Isaac Mitten Steward was an early LDS Pioneer and polygamist. He had three wives: 1843 he married Matilda Jane Downs. On 8 March 1857 he married Elizabeth White and Emma Baunum (Baynon) Lloyde. The marriage to Emma produced no children.
