Elizabeth Stewart was born 25 Apr 1831 at North Stonington, Connecticut. She was a daughter of George P. Stewart and Mary "Polly" Hewitt.

Stewart and Mary Hewitt.

This Elizabeth Stewart became the third wife of Stephen Main; they were married 8 Jun 1847 at North Stonington. Six children of this marriage have been identified and herein profiled.

The death date of Elizabeth Ann (Stewart) Main is not yet evident. Find-A-Grave (unsourced, thus unsubstantiated) posted her death year as 1921. Additional probity is recommended.
