Biography

Wright Stewart son of Sylvester Stewart and Mindwell Baxter Stewart, was probably born about 1820 at New York. Naoma Weeks Northrop, a first cousin one time removed said that Wright had been killed in the Civil War. Namoa was about 85 when she told the story in 1940.[1] Wright's brother James Madison was in Company K 86th New York Volunteer Infantry Regiment "Steuben Rangers" so it is likely that Wright was as well.
