I have rewritten the Biography for Andries Petrus Johannes Steyn Stein-3563. He had been given an incorrect LNAB which I have pointed out to the Profile Manager. His Death notice indicates that he is Andries Petrus Jacobus, a son of this family.

This is the same profile as Steyn-56. The mother given for Steyn-180 is incorrect. Cornelia Potgieter died in 1773 so could not be his mother. His father's third wife, and his mother, was Catharina Maria Potgieter, daughter of Hans Jurgen Potgieter and Elizabeth van Staden, born 1758 and married to Douw Gerbrand Steyn (1747-1790) on 7 Jan 1776. After his death she married Theunis Christoffel Botha on 12 Feb 1792.
