Obituary
Frank Stichka, the second son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stichka, was born August 24, 1875, at Chicago, Ill., and passed away at Nelson on May 28, 1958, at the age of 82 years, 9 months and 4 days.
He was married to Anna Koci of Dorchester, Nebr., on Feb. 13, 1906. They came to a farm eight miles northwest of Nelson where lived for many years. To this union 8 children were born.
Preceding him in death were one son, William, two sisters, Annie Hesman and Mary Thurber, and one brother, James.
He came to Nuckolls county (sic) with his parents in the early years of his life. He farmed here all his life until retiring due to ill health, and moved to Nelson where he lived the remaining years. He had been on and off the critical list the past year until passing away May 28.
Survivors include his wife, Anna; three sons, Edward of Red Cloud, Anton of Hastings and Emil of Ruskin; four daughters, Mrs. Henry Blackwood of Formoso, Kans., Mrs. Clyde Reeve, Mrs. Jake Hepler, Mrs. Anna Disney, all of Nelson; three sons-in-law; three daughters-in-law; 21 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one brother, Lloyd, of Seneca, Nebr.; one sister, Pauline of Pauline, Nebr. and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was a kind and loving husband and father and a very thoughtful and friendly neighbor to all who knew him.
Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church (sic) of Nelson, Rev. Henry Warren officiating. Burial was in the Nelson cemetery (sic).
