Andrew, the fourth son and seventh of fourteen children of Andrew Stickney and Elizabeth Chute was born on 9 February 1701 at Georgetown, Massachusetts.[1]
First Marriage and Children
Andrew was married twice. He married 1) Sarah Brocklebank (1706-1726), the daughter of Samuel and Sarah Brockelbank (alias Brockelbank) on 7 September 1723 at Rowley, Essex, Massachusetts.[2]They had two daughters born at Rowley, Massachusetts (bp. = baptized):
Martha Stickney (b. 17 Mar 1725; d. 1824),[3] m. 24 Dec 1745 at Rowley, MA, Jonathan Rogers (1725-1811)
Sarah Stickney (b. 1726, bp. 16 Apr 1727; d. 1728).[4]
Sarah (Brocklebank) Stickney died in 1726 possibly from complications of childbirth with their second daughter.
Second Marriage and Children
Andrew married 2) Sarah (Anderson) Lunt, the daughter of William and Elizabeth Ann (Pickles) Anderson (alias Anderton) on 12 December 1727 at Newbury, Massachusetts.[5] She was the widow of Henry Lunt (b. 31 May 1697, Newbury, MA; d. 1727, Newbury, MA). They had seven children born at Newbury, Massachusetts:
