Biography

Mary Stickney died young.

Birth: Mary E Stickney was born on 7 March 1893 in Augusta, Maine. She was the daughter of William H Stickney and Cynthia "Etta" (Hoyt) Stickney. She was her parent's first child.

Her father was a farmer. ^{[1] [2]}

In the 1900 census, Mary (age 7) was living with her parents and her 3-year-old brother Leander T Stickney. They are renting a home on Stone Street in Augusta, Maine which is not a farm, but her father is a farm laborer. Mary has not been attending school. ^[2]

Death and Burial: Mary E Stickney died on 3 Mar 1905 in Augusta, Maine at the age of 11 from pneumonia tuberculosis. She is buried in Mud Mill Cemetery in Augusta along with her parents and her sister Delia G Stickney. ^{[3] [4]}

• Middle Name: This profile was established with the Mary's middle name entered as Etta, The 1900 Census and her record of death include a middle intinal E. Todate, the only record of her full middle name Etta is found on her Find a Grave memorial page which does not include a photograph.
