JOHN STICKNEY died in Newbury. His grave stone with that of his wife Mary, are still standing in the burial ground at Newbury Old town, near the entrance, a short distance from the meeting-house. They were probably brought from England, and must have been quite costly at the time they were erected. they have suffered very little injury and decay from time.

They bear the following inscriptions: "Mr. JOHN STICKNEY died 13 August, 1727, in his 62d year." "Maary wife, of JOHN STICKNEY died 20 August, 1737, in her 65th year."
