Alfred Stieglitz was born January 1, 1864 in Hoboken, Hudson, New Jersey, United States.[1][2] He was the son of German Jewish immigrants Edward Stieglitz and Hedwig Ann Werner.[2][3][4]
He married Emmeline Obermeyer on November 16, 1893 in Manhattan, New York, New York, United States.[4] Together they had a daughter, Katherine.[5][6]
He married Georgia O'Keeffe on December 11, 1924 in Cliffside Park, Bergen, New Jersey, United States.[7][8][9]
Stieglitz died July 13, 1946 in Manhattan, New York City, New York, United States.[2]
