Obituary of Robert Erwin “Bob” Stiles

He was born July 24, 1925 in Peck the son of the late Erwin and Laura Hilbourn Stiles. His marriage to Vonda J. Muma was March 31, 1961 in Brown City.

Robert served his country with the United States Navy in the South Pacific Theater aboard the U.S.S. Whitney from 1943 to 1946 during W.W.I.I.

"Bob" was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Yale and was employed in sales by the former Hodgins-LaFave Ford dealership and the former John Popyk Chevrolet dealership in Yale for 40 years. He was a member of the Yale V.F.W. Post #8594 and enjoyed renovating older homes.

Surviving in addition to his wife Vonda of 46 years are four sons and daughters-in-law, David and Debbi of Emmett, Jeff and Brenda of St. Augustine, FL,, Tim and Mayra of Miami, FL, and Tom and Sally of Brown City, two daughters and sons-in-law, Louann and Dick Warner of Yale and Cindi Wedyke-Payne and her husband Mike Payne of Fenton; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; two step great-great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Barb and Lloyd Gerlach of Yale, brother and sister-in-law, Don and Marlene Stiles of SC, sister-in-law, Sandy (Ray) McAllister of Jackson; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Mary Muma of Melvin; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Robbi (1979)
