Biography
William was born to William and Phebe Spinning Stiles in Elizabethtown, New Jersey. He was christened at St. John Episcopal Church on February 26, 1764.[1] He married Abigail Passell on June 5, 1784 and they raised a family of at least seven children at Basking Ridge.[2] William died at age 56 and is buried in Basking Ridge.[3]
