James Stinson is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A110163.

James Stephenson Stinson was born on September 24, 1762, to Elizabeth Armstrong, age 15, and John Archibald Stinson, age 31. served in the military in September 1777 in Pennsylvania when he was 15 years old.

He married Mary J "Polly" Parker on January 24, 1787, in New Providence, New Jersey. [1] They had 12 children in 35 years.

He died on September 13, 1851, in Ross, Ohio, having lived a long life of 88 years, and was buried in Chillicothe, Ohio, in the Grandview Cemetery. [2]
